How to Fix White Text and Missing Buttons in WordPress Visual Editor

wordpress issue

Text becomes invisible in Visual Editor. The text is there, but in white color and you cant see. Also some buttons wont work! You cannot switch from Visual Editor to Text Editor, cannot Add Media etc.

Fix 1: Clear your Cache

The very first thing to do is to clear your cache and see if the issue is fixed. Also try using a different browser. This is just a simple try! It wont fix the problem in most cases. If it didnt fix, try remaining steps.

Fix 2: Replace tinymce files

Go to wp-includes/js/tinymce/ and replace it with a fresh copy of wordpress installation. This would do the trick in most cases! Some users reported that they fixed the issue with this method.

Fix 3: Install ‘Use Google Libraries’ plugin

Try installing Use Google Libraries plugin and activate it. There is no other configuration needed for this plugin. After activating the plugin, reload post editing page(Visual Editor). 90% of the users can fix the issue by this method.

Fix 4: Deactivate plugins

If above fixes didn’t do the trick, disable all of your plugins. Now check if the issue is fixed or not. If it worked, try activating plugins one by one so that you can understand which plugin causes the issue.

Fix 5: Enable SCRIPT_DEBUG

Open your wp-config.php file and add the following line

define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true);

Open your wp-config.php and add the following line

define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

Hope these fixes helped you! If above fixes didn’t work, do contact me and I will try to fix it.
